I work as a Community Link Worker who specialises in helping people with learning disabilities. I work together with other team members and healthcare professionals at your GP practise to support and improve your wellbeing. I can help you get involved in your community through social activities like taking courses, volunteering, or joining social and activity groups. I will be there to support during your annual health check, where I will listen and learn what matters most to you. Along with pursuing my Master’s in Public Health, I work with Skills for People. In my position at Skills, I support people who have learning disabilities and/or autism, to connect to their community and take part in activities that Skills and the larger community offer. My work surrounds supporting people’s social needs, to enable them to have the freedom to live the lives that they desire.
